Great River Harrison 32 EQ

The Great River Harrison 32 EQ is a high-end equalizer module renowned for its exceptional sound quality, precision, and versatility. Here's an overview of its key features:

  • Collaborative Design: The Harrison 32EQ is a collaboration between Great River Electronics and the legendary Harrison Consoles, known for their iconic analog mixing consoles used in top studios worldwide. This partnership brings together the expertise of two esteemed audio engineering companies to create a premium equalizer.
  • Four-Band Parametric EQ: The 32EQ features four bands of fully parametric equalization for hi and low shelving (HSF, LSF), high bell (HBF), hi mid bell (HMBF), low mid bell (LMBF) and low bell (LBF), providing precise control over frequency and gain for each band. For attenuation of low and high frequencies, the unit incorporates high-pass (HPF) and low-pass (LPF) filters. This allows for detailed tonal shaping to enhance the clarity and musicality of audio signals.
  • Harrison's Classic Filter Designs: The EQ circuitry of the 32EQ is based on Harrison's classic filter designs, renowned for their musicality, transparency, and smooth response. These filters ensure that the equalizer imparts minimal phase distortion and artifacts, preserving the integrity of the audio signal.
  • Variable Frequency Selection: Each band of the 32EQ offers continuously variable frequency selection, allowing users to precisely target specific frequencies for correction, enhancement, or creative manipulation of the audio spectrum.
  • Switchable Shelving Filters: The low and high bands of the 32EQ can be switched between bell and shelving filter modes, providing flexibility in sculpting the low and high ends of the frequency spectrum. This allows for broad adjustments or precise targeting of specific frequency ranges.
  • Musical Sound: The 32EQ is revered for its musical sound quality, characterized by smooth and natural EQ curves that enhance the clarity, depth, and dimension of audio recordings. Its transparent and musical EQ processing makes it a favorite among mixing and mastering engineers.
  • Build Quality: Great River Electronics is known for its commitment to craftsmanship and quality, and the 32EQ is no exception. It is built with top-grade components and rugged construction, ensuring reliability and longevity in professional studio environments.

Overall, the Great River Harrison 32EQ is a premium equalizer module prized for its exceptional sound quality, precision EQ controls, and musicality. It's a versatile tool for shaping the sound of audio recordings with precision and finesse, making it an essential component of any professional audio setup.

About Xtreme Samples Q-Clone Libraries

Xtreme Samples Q-Clone libraries are clearly superior to the native EQ plugins in terms of authenticity in relation to the hardware unit. Even compared to DSP platforms ( UAD , TC , etc.) the results of processing are more transparent and natural. Just like in case of convolution reverb, the characteristics of the original hardware will be captured far better as in case of an algorithmic DSP calculation.

Xtreme Samples Q-Clone presets represent specific filter positions of hardware equalizers. These positions have been transferred to a software environment and stored using convolution technology. There are two types of Xtreme Samples Q-Clone presets: single presets and application presets.

A single preset emulates the position (cut, boost, or flat) of a single EQ filter (e.g., high shelving filter), while other EQ filters are bypassed. An application preset captures the positions of two or more EQ filters simultaneously. Single presets are suitable for easily editing audio signals, such as treble/mid/bass boost/cut or low or high cut filters. By using the Q-Clone function 'Add,' which allows users to combine multiple single presets, they provide a broad foundation for creating custom EQ presets.

Application presets offer more complex EQ settings and are divided into two groups: mixing and mastering. Mixing presets include various settings sorted by application (e.g., presets for bass, drums, guitars, vocals, etc.). The mastering section is categorized by musical genre, such as pop, rock, dance, etc.

Great River Harrison 32 EQ Q-Clone Equaliser library for Waves Q-Clone Plugin

provides 1.102 EQ presets for high-quality processing of audio signals in the mixing and mastering process. There are all of the Great River Harrison 32 EQ filters available. The frequencies of each filter were created in small boost or cut - gradations (+-1.0dB), processed by a high-end AD conversion for use with Q-Clone. The entire library is directly integrated into the Q-Clone preset browser.

About Waves Q-Clone

Waves Q-Clone is a revolutionary product that, through unique, patented technology, allows for the emulation of classic analog hardware equalizers using convolution technology on a digital level - a plug-in for Windows and Mac DAWs, compatible with Pro Tools HTDM systems, as RTAS software, as well as with various native host applications in VST, DirectX, Audio Units, and MAS formats. It can be opened in the channels to be processed of the DAW mixer in as many instances as desired, as a mono or stereo plugin, as long as the CPU or DSP hardware of the computer can handle it.
