Manley Massive Passive Mastering Version
The Manley Massive Passive Mastering Version is a specialized variant of the classic Manley Massive Passive equalizer, specifically tailored for mastering applications. Here's an overview of its key features and characteristics:
- Enhanced Precision: The Mastering Version of the Massive Passive is engineered with even greater precision and attention to detail compared to the standard version. This ensures utmost accuracy and consistency in mastering tasks where subtle adjustments can have a significant impact on the final sound.
- Stepped Controls: The controls on the Mastering Version are often stepped, meaning they have fixed positions rather than continuous knobs. This allows for precise recall of settings, crucial in mastering workflows where repeatability is essential.
- Extended Frequency Range: The Mastering Version may offer an extended frequency range compared to the standard version, allowing for finer adjustments in mastering scenarios where precise control over specific afrequency bands is required.
- Improved Signal-to-Noise Ratio: Efforts are made to optimize the signal-to-noise ratio in the Mastering Version, ensuring that any processing introduced by the equalizer is transparent and does not add unwanted noise or artifacts to the audio signal.
- Enhanced Build Quality: While the standard Massive Passive is already built to high standards, the Mastering Version may feature further enhancements in build quality and component selection to meet the rigorous demands of mastering engineers and high-end mastering facilities.
- Specialized Applications: The Mastering Version is specifically tailored for mastering engineers and mastering studios where precision, transparency, and sonic excellence are paramount. It is designed to provide the utmost clarity, detail, and musicality while shaping the overall sound of a mastered track or album.
- Versatility: Despite its specialization for mastering, the Mastering Version of the Massive Passive can still be used in various audio production contexts, including recording and mixing, where its precise and musical equalization capabilities can be leveraged to enhance the sound of individual tracks or subgroups.
Overall, the Manley Massive Passive Mastering Version is a top-of-the-line equalizer designed to meet the exacting standards of mastering engineers and high-end mastering facilities. Its precision, transparency, and musicality make it a go-to choice for mastering professionals seeking to achieve pristine and polished results.
About Xtreme Samples Q-Clone Libraries
Xtreme Samples Q-Clone libraries are clearly superior to the native EQ plugins in terms of authenticity in relation to the hardware unit. Even compared to DSP platforms ( UAD , TC , etc.) the results of processing are more transparent and natural. Just like in case of convolution reverb, the characteristics of the original hardware will be captured far better as in case of an algorithmic DSP calculation.
Xtreme Samples Q-Clone presets represent specific filter positions of hardware equalizers. These positions have been transferred to a software environment and stored using convolution technology. There are two types of Xtreme Samples Q-Clone presets: single presets and application presets.
A single preset emulates the position (cut, boost, or flat) of a single EQ filter (e.g., high shelving filter), while other EQ filters are bypassed. An application preset captures the positions of two or more EQ filters simultaneously. Single presets are suitable for easily editing audio signals, such as treble/mid/bass boost/cut or low or high cut filters. By using the Q-Clone function 'Add,' which allows users to combine multiple single presets, they provide a broad foundation for creating custom EQ presets.
Application presets offer more complex EQ settings and are divided into two groups: mixing and mastering. Mixing presets include various settings sorted by application (e.g., presets for bass, drums, guitars, vocals, etc.). The mastering section is categorized by musical genre, such as pop, rock, dance, etc.
Manley Massive Passive Mastering Q-Clone Equaliser Library for Waves Q-Clone Plugin
provides 13.260 EQ presets for high-quality processing of audio signals in the mixing and mastering process. It is worldwide the most extensive single-EQ library for Q-Clone. There are all of the Manley MPM hardware filters available. The frequencies of each filter were created in any stepped boost or cut - gradations, processed by a high-end AD conversion for use with Q-Clone. The entire library surpasses the preset count that Q-Clone can handle. Thus, we've included an "Eco" version with fewer Q-Factors which fits in Q-Clone preset browser. You can access the entire library by loading individual presets or excluding a certain number of presets.

About Waves Q-Clone
Waves Q-Clone is a revolutionary product that, through unique, patented technology, allows for the emulation of classic analog hardware equalizers using convolution technology on a digital level - a plug-in for Windows and Mac DAWs, compatible with Pro Tools HTDM systems, as RTAS software, as well as with various native host applications in VST, DirectX, Audio Units, and MAS formats. It can be opened in the channels to be processed of the DAW mixer in as many instances as desired, as a mono or stereo plugin, as long as the CPU or DSP hardware of the computer can handle it.
